A dual structure
The CCI du Var counts on both its elected members and its permanent staff in interpreting and giving full meaning to the defined strategy. It combines the experience and knowledge of company leaders in charge of projects with the expertise and professionalism of the employees responsible for carrying these projects out. Its functional organisation is grounded in an innovative management mode facilitating discussion and interactivity. It is all summed up in a single methodology: Plan, Carry out, Check and Improve.
The Elected Members: 46 voluntary and committed company leaders
With a term of office lasting 5 years, the Members are responsible for defining strategy, objectives and the budget. They represent the sectors of commerce, industry and services.
The decision-making bodies
The General Assembly is the deliberative organ and is composed of the titular members, 23 Associate Members and 25 Technical Consultants. The President of the CCI du Var, Jacques Bianchi, and the members of the Bureau constitute the executive power and draw up the institution’s major strategic and economic options.
The permanent commissions: rigour and transparency
The permanent commissions are consultative bodies, consisting of elected and associate members and employees invested with a study, reflection and information role. They give opinions and make proposals in their particular spheres of competence.
The project groups: breeding grounds for ideas
Created in 2005, the project groups comprise elected members, company leaders, experts and employees whose mission is to discuss, reflect, decide and propose action plans on particular questions. They make proposals in the light of objectives and deadlines and report on their actions to the Bureau, the President and the General Assembly.
400 members of the personnel: teams of experts
The personnel are specialists in economics, planning, the environment, tourism, industry, exports, port and airport management, and training.
